Age Rating: Games should be rated 16+ or below. Avoid Mature/18+ titles unless specifically approved.
- Games involving the harm or abuse of children should not be streamed.
- Binding of Isaac: Allowed, but skip story cinematics and between-floor loading screens involving harm to children.
Keep It Classy: Occasional swearing is fine, but aim for PG-13 language and humor. Avoid graphic, disturbing, or offensive jokes—especially those involving children or animal cruelty.
Religion: Please keep religious discussions to a minimum. Personal beliefs are welcome, but 12 Days is about bringing joy to children of all backgrounds.This isn’t saying you can’t say a prayer at the start of your stream or wear whatever hat you want, but our focus is on raising money for underprivileged children, no matter their race, religion, sex, gender, creed, born-nationality, or so on.
Webcams & Avatars: If using a webcam, please be fully clothed and presentable, with a reasonably appropriate background. VTubers/PNGTubers should also use respectful avatars.
Politics & Controversial Topics: Keep politics and divisive social issues off-stream. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but our goal is to keep 12 Days focused on fun, gaming, and helping kids!
Stream Quality: Streams must be at least 720p / 30 FPS / 2000 kbps so viewers can clearly see the action.
Music: Music: Avoid copyrighted music whenever possible. If you use music, please stick to royalty-free/copyright-free tracks that you can find here, here, here, here and here. [Only play copyrighted music if you know how to keep it out of the VOD. If you don’t know how to do this, just use non-copyrighted music.]
Language: English is our primary language, but multilingual streams are welcome. If you are one such streamer, and want to allow conversation in other languages as well, that’s your choice, and is allowed. Just remember that English remains the main choice, and a multi-language stream would always be [ENG/(other language here)].
Donation Reading: Having someone available to read donations is recommended, but not required. You’re welcome to handle donations yourself if you prefer.
Donation Incentives: Get creative! Fun challenges or incentives can help encourage donations.
- Food incentives are allowed, but keep them safe and reasonable.
- No dangerous amounts of salt, soy sauce, sugar, etc.
- Avoid foods you’re allergic or intolerant to.
- NO POWDERED SUBSTANCES. No choking on mystery powders.
Tiny Secret Test: Please put “Ketchup…” as one of your social media profiles on the signup form.

Fundraising Goals: Our ultimate goal is to raise $12,000+ USD for Toys for Tots, with three milestones:
- $5,000 — First Goal
- $8,000 — Second Goal
- $12,000 — Final Goal
- Donations will be handled through Tiltify, so you don’t need to manage donations yourself.
Discord: We’ll be promoting the 12 Days of Indie Discord throughout the event. Make sure you have the Streamer role if you haven’t already. You can find the URL HERE.

Special Incentives: If you’re a personal friend of 12DOI Administration, a former IAST member, or part of TDM, the admins reserve the right to request a special incentive during your stream.
Streaming on Your Own Channel: You’re welcome, and encouraged, to stream the event on your own channel!
- You must use the official 12 Days of Indie donation link. The link will be available a few days before the event starts.
- You must use the official event overlay from Discord.
- This ensures donations count toward our fundraising goals.
- Major giveaways will take place on the official 12 Days of Indie channel, so direct viewers there when appropriate.
Giveaways: All giveaways on the official 12 Days of Indie channel will be handled by dedicated moderators and 12DOI staff.
